Edge of Arabia artist Manal Al-Dowayan and founder, Stephen Stapleton, ran a two day workshop for 25 students from the UAE’s leading Arts Universities: Zayed University, University of Sharjah, American University of Sharjah.
The workshop was held at Cuadro, one of Dubai’s leading contemporary art galleries and sponsored by Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programmes. The subject of the discussion was the challenges and rewards of working as a female artist in the modern-day Middle East.
