Saudi Artists worked with over 200 students as part of SAGIA’s collaboration with Edge of Arabia during the GCF. Over three days creative students from five Riyadh schools collaborated with Saudi artists and international students to create artworks inspired by artworks which have been exhibited in Edge of Arabia.
The workshops are part of a wider arts educational program sponsored by Bab Rizq Jameel (Abdul Latif Jameel Community Services Programmes). The murals were created in Hewar Art Gallery and Al Tarbiya Al Ahlieah School and explored Saudi heritage and cultural identity.
The schools involved were part of the Mawhiba Schools Partnership program as well as students from the International Child Art Foundation (ICAF) who were invited to speak at a dedicated children’s panel during the GCF. The murals are now on display in the new Edge of Arabia offices in Jeddah.
